But I think you’ll find in this episode that I let loose a bit more than normal as I joined my friend Adam Carswell on his live show “Ancap Radio” on Twitter (or X, which I’ll never get used to saying…). I’m not sure what was in the air—perhaps it was the show’s “live radio” format of the show—but I was in a certain kind of mood and really just let loose. 

I had such a fun time chatting with Adam and going on a number of rants, so I just had to share this one with you today. There’s even a special appearance from our mutual friend Doug Casey, who, of course, Expat Money Show listeners are more than familiar with.

As you can tell from this episode, I don’t like to sugarcoat anything or overhype a country when I am investigating it for clients and potential clients. As I’ve said many times, there is no “Shangri La” perfectly free country that exists, and that’s why I always set my feet on the ground in a country and go through residency processes myself so that I can relay the reality to my clients, and I take the same approach with this podcast when discussing these countries. 

As with any other country, Georgia has a mix of good and bad qualities, and only you can be the final judge on which countries strike the right chord with you.

I also provide some insight into my experience working through a St. Kitts CBI for myself. Luckily, having completed my paperwork before these changes, I will most likely be unaffected by this.

It wasn’t fun to have to record this episode and deliver some tough news that is going to affect a lot of people who were in the process of working on CBIs in these affected regions. The best we can do is stay up to date on what is going on and plan accordingly.

I emphasize to my clients all the time to “act now” because you never know when these programs will change or just end altogether. This week is an unfortunate real-life example of just that.
