306: El Salvador: An Oasis of Decentralization – Dr. Jack Kruse
Is a decentralized revolution occurring in El Salvador? That’s exactly what today’s guest, Dr. Jack Kruse, who currently lives and practices medicine in El Salvador and has served as an advisor to Nayib Bukele, joins me to discuss.
Dr. Jack Kruse, a neurosurgeon, had an awakening in 2007 when he suffered a torn meniscus in his knee at 6’2”, 357 lbs. This led to his further study of physics, light, magnetism, and electricity, ultimately concluding that modern medicine lacked a deep understanding of how humans function in relation to the natural world.
He is the CEO of Kruse Longevity Center in the US and El Salvador, a health and wellness company dedicated to helping patients avoid the healthcare burdens they typically encounter as they age.
He is also the author of “Epi-Paleo Rx: The Prescription for Disease Reversal and Optimal Health.”

CONCLUSION
This was certainly a fascinating discussion, and Dr. Kruse is a super interesting guy. I often discussed how longevity has always been a hobby of mine, and Dr. Kruse certainly gave me a lot to think about. His insights on Nayib Bukele’s plan to decentralize El Salvador definitely piqued my interest. While I’m not ready to recommend clients choose El Salvador for their own Plan-B, it is certainly a country worth keeping an eye on in the coming years.
Fantastic podcast Mikkel. I have been doing my own research into health longevity, blue zones, alternative medicine, etc. for years and I’m keen to learn all i can about it. Seeking the truth is paramount for me and I thank you and Dr. Kruse for this today. Health IS the new wealth. Good on ya!
Excellent talk. 5 star all the way. Thank-you Mikkel.
Thanks Rick, appreciate it
Fascinating interview, which begs a question: Is sunlight coming through cloud cover equivalent in health benefits to that produced by blue skies? Panama has cloud cover a lot of the time. Panama City gets about 1,000 fewer hours of sunshine than Omaha, Nebraska. If not, wouldn’t a dry, sunny climate be preferable to one in the tropics where you get a lot of rain, even if the latter is closer to the equator?
That doesn’t sound correct to me, but maybe I am wrong. I have not spent any time in Omaha, maybe its the real sunshine state. I can tell you that Panama has blue skys and white fluffy clouds, and when it rains here it does so quickly and forcefully, then the sun shines again
Wow. Very interesting interview. Dr Kruse does not hold back and presents his opinion, knowledge and expertise with gusto. I think we all can take away a lot from this presentation and if you didn’t get anything from listening to what Dr Kruse had to say…watch the podcast again.
