Hope you enjoyed your stay in Ireland, you are indeed correct about the taxes in Ireland if it’s a foreign company setting up here, the Irish government taxes on Wages and salaries are very high ( they have to get the money from somewhere) The Eu are trying their best to get us to increase our corporate rate but we have resisted so far. It’s a constant battle.
We have done well with so many American multinationals setting up here otherwise we’d be forgotten about on the edge of Europe.
On a lighter note “ Guinness “ is actually a stout.
At one time if you donated blood at a local hospital you were given a bottle of Guinness
Also pregnant mothers received a bottle “ to build up their strength if you know what I Mean” I’m not sure if this custome continues.
