That does it for Part 2 of my trip report, and I hope you all learned a lot about Armenia, a country that really goes under the radar. It’s a lovely place and one certainly worth visiting at a minimum. But it does bring a lot of baggage as far as a Plan-B location for expats goes, many of which concern the geopolitical situation and the constant problem with its’ neighbour, Azerbaijan.

CONCLUSION

As you can tell from this episode, I don’t like to sugarcoat anything or overhype a country when I am investigating it for clients and potential clients. As I’ve said many times, there is no “Shangri La” perfectly free country that exists, and that’s why I always set my feet on the ground in a country and go through residency processes myself so that I can relay the reality to my clients, and I take the same approach with this podcast when discussing these countries. 

As with any other country, Georgia has a mix of good and bad qualities, and only you can be the final judge on which countries strike the right chord with you.

Unfortunately, none of it is good news.

I’m not here to sugarcoat things but rather to deliver the truth of what is going on in the world so that you can make the best decisions possible on your expat journey.

Tune into this special breaking news edition of the Expat Money Show, wherein I break down all of the changes that have occurred in the last week and how they will affect those looking to do citizenship-by-investment programs in certain countries.

I also provide some insight into my experience working through a St. Kitts CBI for myself. Luckily, having completed my paperwork before these changes, I will most likely be unaffected by this.

It wasn’t fun to have to record this episode and deliver some tough news that is going to affect a lot of people who were in the process of working on CBIs in these affected regions. The best we can do is stay up to date on what is going on and plan accordingly.

I emphasize to my clients all the time to “act now” because you never know when these programs will change or just end altogether. This week is an unfortunate real-life example of just that.
